This place holds the best memories and the worst memories. It is the only place I have been whole and broken on multiple occasions. It will always have a special place in my heart. Free as a Bird

College is the most free I have been in my life and I can’t get enough. I don’t like restrictions and restrictions don’t like me. I am free, so free. I can’t catch my breath. I am escaping the air. I am limitless. Never restrained laying among the stars that have captivated my soul and exemplified it. I am as clear as a crystal and my light shines beyond the darkness. Illuminating what could not be seen before. Radioactive.

Jimmy John’s vs. Pickleman’s

This day will go down in history as the day that I got Jimmy John’s and Pickleman’s to race in Lincoln, Neb. It all started with a simple clever tweet at both parties the night before suggesting a race between the sandwich places to see who was the fastest on the college campus. Well the next day (today) Pickleman’s tweeted back saying they were up for the challenge, then Jimmy John’s replied. I told them that the race would start at 5 p.m. and the end would be Gamma Phi Beta sorority. They agreed to my terms and I even “ordered” over twitter what I wanted. Then I got to thinking and I was just like I want to up the bet. I told them I had 60+ sisters in my house who wanted some food too. Pickleman’s was the only one who definitely said they were bringing more food. 

Fast forward to 4:48 p.m. I was chilling in our “card room” no one actually plays cards anymore. I get a phone call from Lincoln and answer it. On the other end is Jimmy John’s saying that they were at the door. Jimmy Johns had won! But are they disqualified for the false start? Nah! They gave us free food! I had my own sandwich like promised and they had sandwiches for everybody! I got on the speaker to get the girls down to the foyer so we could eat them. Later one of my sister walks in with two guys and a heater bag. Pickleman’s was here! They had been waiting outside until it was 5 but we let them in early. They brought my special sandwich and pizza, cookies and a salad for all my sisters.

So the race wasn’t really a race, but I got free food and a rocking story to tell people. I became twitter famous and might even get best sister of the year award! College is better than I could possibly imagine!
